As the name of this blog suggests I am quite addicted to cameras of all kind and photography in general. Personally I think it is a pity to not use the wonderful film cameras of yesterday, just because of the convenience of the digital age. I love to play with outdated equipment and sometimes I even develop the films by my own. The whole process is really rewarding for me with all of it’s uncertainties and disadvantages. Waiting for the lab to get my film developed is similar experience for me as to wait for Christmas to come as a child. I collect film cameras and I love to use them as much as I can.
At the same time I admire the capabilities of the digital technology and I am not among those who think digital is evil. In my opinion photography is a mapping of the reality and this is always just an approximation regardless of silicon or silver you are shooting on. Of course, different techniques have different properties therefore some prefers one way over another. If you ask me, I would like to try as many ways of taking pictures as possible and get the most out of it.
As a summary this blog is about experimenting with both digital and film technology, small photo projects and hopefully much more. I hope it will be interesting for you.
In my bag
My bag is a very manifold entity, so it is challenging for me to take a snapshot of it. Being a camera addict I tend to carry different gear almost every day. Anyway here are some bag shoots of mine which were published on the Japan Camera Hunter.
I also have a Canon 450D with an nifty fifty and a kit lens which I use for most product photos for this blog.
